What are the differences between honesty, secrecy and discretion?  Should we ever be discrete with information that we have, when no one has called for it?  Let's take a look at a situation that called for obedience and discretion, but was instead met with disobedience and a lack of discretion.

CORRECTION: the proverb I misquoted during this episode actually says, "Discretion is the greater part of valor"

Mark 1:44-45 KJV
And saith unto him, "See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them."  But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to blaze abroad the matter, insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter.

We also recommend that you check out the True Wisdom podcast which I co-host with Robert Baker -- a different format for Bible Study.
